Post Flu-Run

Today was a good follow-up to yesterday's short excursion on the snowshoes after getting knocked on my butt with the flu earlier in the week. Did one of the loops in my neighborhood with very little elevation change and is under five miles.

As expected, the heart rate was on the high side. I'm sure the bit of extra work of snowy road shoulders contributed to that some, but the bulk of it was no doubt some rust from five days of no running. All in all it went well, and it simply felt great to be running again.

Ran 4.6 miles @ 8:16/mile pace.
AHR/MHR - 141/155
Paved roads, coated with packed snow.
Mostly flat.
Upper teens, sunny.
Saucony Kinvara, long pants, fleece jacket, long sleeved shirt, short sleeved shirt, beanie, heavy gloves.
