On the Road Again

Ran 4.6 miles @ 8:14/mile pace.
AHR = 146
Paved roads.
Mostly flat.
Lower 40s, sunny.

Felt good to run again after the two day layoff. Took it slow and easy. Left knee barked a bit. Will likely see a doctor to get it checked out.

Oh, crap! Between now and then your BQ and a marathon itself was gone...but hey, what a great attitude - EVERYBODY has a DNF somewhere in store for them! And splits are FAST!
I am glad you re-couped fast, re-planned and back to life of many more runs:)

Listen to your Doc and your body. Us old dogs take 3 days off after a marathon. This said, my left Achilles is still tell me to hit the bike tomorrow. I think I will listen and perhaps start out with some of the really short runs next week. And for short, I am talking 2-3 miles. Oh vey!

Good luck....perhaps I will get up there to Vermont to cheer you on during the 100 miler.

Enjoy!

Thanks guys. TC, we should definitely get together for some running sometime soon.

Once the snow melts, we should rendezvous out at Pineland. I would love a tour around the race route. Perhaps we could knock off the 25K...at a reasonable pace of course.

Enjoy!
