Oh, crap! Between now and then your BQ and a marathon itself was gone...but hey, what a great attitude - EVERYBODY has a DNF somewhere in store for them! And splits are FAST! I am glad you re-couped fast, re-planned and back to life of many more runs:)
Listen to your Doc and your body. Us old dogs take 3 days off after a marathon. This said, my left Achilles is still tell me to hit the bike tomorrow. I think I will listen and perhaps start out with some of the really short runs next week. And for short, I am talking 2-3 miles. Oh vey!
Good luck....perhaps I will get up there to Vermont to cheer you on during the 100 miler.
Once the snow melts, we should rendezvous out at Pineland. I would love a tour around the race route. Perhaps we could knock off the 25K...at a reasonable pace of course.
