Had planned on 15 miles today. I could have followed through with that, but after three or so miles into the route it became pretty clear that going that long would tax my legs and put a solid speed workout I have planned for Friday at risk. With the 5K coming up in 2 1/2 weeks, the fast stuff is at a premium.
So, I cut it a bit short. Eleven miles turned out to be ample. Easy five tomorrow then I should be good for the track on Friday.
Ran 11.1 miles @ 8:09/mile pace.
Paved roads.
Slightly hilly.
Mid 50s, partly cloudy.
Saucony Virrata, shorts, short sleeved shirt, long sleeved shirt, refl. vest.
