The Hills Are Alive With The Sounds Of Runners

Awoke feeling like the head cold was seemingly on its way out, so I was pretty stoked about that. Still present, but definitely fading. Felt good to go for a final double-digit mileage run before Boston, and zipped up to Pineland Farms for a trail run with the gang. Kate came along also, but we took different cars as we had differing mileage and afternoon plans.

Around a dozen runners, maybe more, congregated in the parking lot and I thought to myself this is a good-sized crowd. Then, around a dozen more emerged from the woods who had gotten an early start and had swung back by to meet up with the 8am crowd. Super swarm! Sweet!

Plan today was to go easy but it ended up being a solid moderate-paced effort. I decided that was okay since I took the past two days off because of the persistant runny nose and coughing. Very nice to run with a variety of people including Stephen, David R., Nick and David B.

Felt pretty strong out there overall. Only hinderance was the head cold stuff, but the energy levels were still normal and I actually felt better as the run went along. Glad I'm on the tail end of it. Picked up some OJ and garlic on the way home and that should be the nail in the coffin.

Ran 10.0 miles @ 8:47/mile pace.
