Cooldown

Ran 11.0 miles @ 8:12/mile pace.
Paved roads.
Very hilly.
Weather: Mid-30s, partly cloudy. Brisk north wind.

The temperatures have taken a dive back down to seasonal levels, but with the snow melted and sunny skies out, it made for good running weather. The wind out of the north made it seem a bit chillier at times, but I was well dressed and enjoyed the run.

The agenda for today was to just take it easy and get in the miles to follow yesterday's harder run. Pretty steady splits and feeling good. The Achilles continues to feel fine and isn't an issue. Woohoo!

Very glad about the achilles. Good balance with the easy miles today. Your pace is pretty good. As long as you have the whole 26 miles in you, I see no problem you scoring 3:10.

Are you focusing on the long run these days - how many miles per week do you shoot for? And last question, how many weeks until Hyannis?

Good news on the achilles. May it stay quiet for the rest of your training.

Andrew - 9 weeks until Hyannis. Shooting for 70-80 miles a week until the three week taper. I've already began incorporating more MP into sections of runs. Did a 20.7 miler a week and a half ago, will most likely do at least 2-3 more 20+ milers between now and the taper.

Any guidance or advice is appreciated.
