Le Track

Will start by rewinding a bit to yesterday. Ran half a mile to keep warm before cross country practice got started. There. It's logged. 

Now, today. Hit the track for some 800M repeats with 400M active recovery. Felt great to get in some interval work. Times a bit slow, but actually very good for this stage. I'll only get faster. Pretty pleased. 

Will likely do a run tomorrow on the rail trails to break in a new pair of trail shoes. No way in heck I venture on any real trails for the time being, but I think I'll be fine on the rail trails, which are really the equivalent of a dirt road. 

w/u: Ran 1.5 miles @ 7:28/mile pace.
5 X 800M w 400M active recovery: 2:52, 2:59, 2:57, 2:57, 2:52* (last one estimated, forgot to hit lap button)
c/d: Ran 1.6 miles @ 9:42/mile pace.

Paved roads for warm-up and cool down.
Slightly hilly.
Upper 40s, sunny.
Brooks Mach 13, shorts, long sleeved shirt.
