Recovery run on tap for today. It was a nice way to mentally wake up after a long afternoon meeting that left my brain feeling like green jello. At least the days are getting noticeably longer, which always helps.
I really like the recovery days, especially when they're earned. There's no pressure on the pace. Just get out there and run super slow with the intent on getting in some miles and help keep the muscles loose. My quads are a bit sore from the combination of Sunday's snowshoe race and yesterday's tempo run. Nothing bad, and today's run seemed to help them out, along with the rest of the leg muscles. Good stuff.
Another nice day today. Not as warm as yesterday, but it was still quite comfortable outside.
Ran 7.0 miles @ 8:42/mile pace.
Paved roads.
Slightly hilly.
Mid 30s, sunny.
Brooks Mach 13, long pants, windbreaker, short sleeved shirt, beanie, gloves.
