MRI

Had the MRI done today, but unfortunately I won't be able to meet with the doctor until Friday. I was a bit disappointed because I'd rather just go to the orthopedist, but I agreed with the primary care doctor's office to come in Friday and let him look at it and evaluate it first. Just seems like a waste of time and $20 for the co-pay, but being new to this game, I'll do the song and dance I guess.

I did get a printout of my knee though. I knew prior to going in that the technicians aren't permitted to point out abnormalities because doing so would be considered practicing medicine, which they aren't licensed to do. However, I did ask if they could point out where my ACL and also which picture shows the outside of my left knee where the pain is. The ACL looks fine and intact to me, but I also profess my ignorance in the matter. Unfortunately, I forget which slide is the one of the outside of my knee, so I don't know what to look for. Ah well. I'm just looking forward to figuring out what exactly the deal is so I can move on.

I am not a doctor, but I play one on TV...

I had similar knee issues back in November. Basically I ran through discomfort but not pain. It took about three weeks and several goose eggs befor it was back to normal. No fun at all.

Good luck with whatever it is that is ailing the knee - maybe it just needs a little oil.

what's this you've become a couch potato? c'mon must be some for of cross-training that you could write about. :-)

Seriously, good luck with the knee issue.

I feel like a potato! No cross training to speak of! Itching to get the bike out, but still too cool up here for me. Like it when temps are at least in the 60s.

Played phone tag with the doc today. Sounds like he has the MRIs and has an idea.

Can the doctor tell you over the phone what he thinks and end the suspense? I'll keep my fingers crossed it's temporary, easy to heal and you'll jump right back in soon!

I hope so, Olga. Unfortunately, I tried calling him back today but he's not in all day. Have to wait until tomorrow.
