It's hard to believe that my 26.2 miler only accounts for 1/4 of your race... I went for a 7 mile run, and it was the hardest thing I've done all year. Every time I stopped running (which was often) I thought I was going to puke. I keep imagining you running 100 miles in that heat and humidity... you are SUCH a rockstar!

Great race report. I think my heart is actually racing (no fooling!) from the exhilaration of it. Almost everyone I know ran slower than they expected and this included a lot of very experienced runners who know what kind of time to expect. Finishing 33rd overall shows how good a race you had.

Great job and it was nice to finally meet you and even run a mile or two with you. My runner, Cecil, was not happy with me at all for starting to run on that stretch, but he had dreams of sub-20 and ended up having to work hard late to get a 23:16. He just wouldn't run when it was easy to run, so I used your caravan as an excuse to force him to run for a while.

DamonDamonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16393751713576765589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-32590784764661157622008-07-22T09:36:00.000-04:002008-07-22T09:36:00.000-04:00What an awesome race report!
