They've made a product significantly worse, just like when they bought out MotionBased.Jamie Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09819417283043630893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-13195286910449385672011-08-10T09:41:41.817-04:002011-08-10T09:41:41.817-04:00Seems like from all the reports from those of you ...Seems like from all the reports from those of you that have the 410 it's pretty far from improved.sn0m8nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09815043766342554921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-6576043346456685642011-08-10T08:36:05.163-04:002011-08-10T08:36:05.163-04:00Yes. With the 305, go under settings>general>...Yes. With the 305, go under settings>general>data recording and you can do some tweaking there. What is odd is that you can't do this with the allegedly improved 410. It looks like they left that option out completely.Jamie Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09819417283043630893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-32161415770302633992011-08-10T08:13:47.071-04:002011-08-10T08:13:47.071-04:00Is there a way to change that setting? I will say ...Is there a way to change that setting? I will say that I don't feel like mine takes in waypoints often enough. For example, here's my Gator Trail data:
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/75251743
Five identical laps, but you'll notice plenty of differences as you zoom in. It's a good example of the imperfection. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great tool, but it's always a little bit of a grain of salt proposition.sn0m8nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09815043766342554921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-7226502486052082902011-08-09T22:39:05.363-04:002011-08-09T22:39:05.363-04:00Thanks Ryan. Looking at your data compared to mine...Thanks Ryan. Looking at your data compared to mine, it confirms why my 410 always comes up short. If you look closely at your track compared to mine, it's obvious your 305 takes in waypoints more frequently, thus giving a more accurate distance which reads longer.

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/105286844Jamie Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09819417283043630893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34544002.post-12565510341513539372011-08-09T21:50:09.851-04:002011-08-09T21:50:09.851-04:00Here's my Garmin data for comparison:
